Industries / Accounting and tax firms

Get through busy season without hiring another staff accountant.

Most of a firm's hours go to work that comes before the real work: chasing clients for documents, keying them in, tying out balances. The AI does that prep. Your CPAs review it and sign.

In plain terms

Think of a first-year staff accountant who never quits, preps every file the same way, and drops each workpaper in your review queue.

Your week

What eats your team's week.

Today, by hand

  • Emailing clients three times for the same bank statement
  • Keying W-2s, 1099s and K-1s into the tax software
  • Bank and credit card reconciliations every month
  • Building the PBC list and checking off what came in
  • Month-end close checklists for bookkeeping clients

What AI takes on

  • Requests and reminders sent to clients until the documents arrive
  • Source documents read and keyed into the tax or bookkeeping software
  • Bank and card reconciliations prepared, with differences flagged
  • Tax organizers filled in from last year's return and this year's documents
  • Multi-state filings prepared for review

Who signs offA CPA reviews every return and reconciliation. A partner signs.

The first two weeks

We measure before we build.

The assessment starts with your own numbers. These are what we would measure. They are not promised results.
  • Hours per return, by return type
  • Days from first request to a complete file
  • Hours per bookkeeping client per month
  • Days to close the month

Questions

What owners ask first.

Will this replace my staff?

It takes over the repetitive part of their week: the forms, the follow-up, the matching and the reports. Most owners use that time to serve more customers without hiring at the same pace. Who you employ stays your decision.

Is our data safe?

Before any work starts, a written agreement says what we can access and who can see it. Every step the AI takes is logged.

How long before something is running?

The assessment takes about two weeks. The first tasks then run inside your real work within six to eight weeks, and halfway through you decide whether to continue.

What does it cost?

It depends on the work. The assessment is a fixed fee agreed before we start. After that you choose a fixed price for a build, a monthly retainer, or paying us from the extra profit.

Do we have to change our software?

Usually not. We work with the systems accounting and tax firms already use.

What if the AI gets something wrong?

Anything that goes to a customer, a regulator or your books is checked by a person first, and every step is logged so a mistake can be traced and fixed.
